Cool magazine of the year. Contents of the magazine "class teacher"
So, the competition “It’s Cool to Be Good 2017” has started.
1) The competition is held throughout Russia.
2) Children from 6 to 14 years old can take part in the competition.
3) To participate in the competition, you must write an essay on the topic “It’s cool to be good!”, in which you should talk about your good and kind deeds. Illustrations and design are welcome.
4) Video works are also accepted for participation.
5) Finished works must be sent by filling out the form on the website, or to the address: 123056, Moscow, PO Box 82, “Cool Magazine”, with the note “Cool to be good - 2017”).
6) Works presented at the competition must not contain obscene language or insults towards participants and readers. In this case, the author is deprived of the right to participate in the competition.
7) When choosing the best written work, both the text itself and the artistic design are taken into account.
8) The competition will include: 5 MegaFon Login 4 LTE tablets from the MegaFon company, 30 books from the publishing house “Nastya and Nikita” and 10 certificates for training on the educational site “YaKlass” and “Razumeikin”.
9) In addition to the winners in the main category, as last year (http://cool-magazine.children/dobro2016), winners will be determined in 3 additional ones - “Cool Video”, “For the Will to Win”, “Cool Design” . Prizes for these nominations - 5 virtual reality glasses and 5 mobile phone chargers from the children's series - are provided by the HIPER company.
10) The competition is announced on Friday, May 25 on the “Cool Magazine” website - http://cool-magazine.children/dobro2017.
11) The results of the competition will be summed up in the 46th issue of the “Cool Magazine”, which will be published on November 30, 2017.
12) The presentation of prizes to the winners of the competition will take place at the Moscow Palace of Pioneers with the support of the Russian Schoolchildren Movement in December 2017 (the exact date will be announced later).
Dates and procedure for the competition:
On November 21, the works that made it to the finals (30-50 works) will fall into the hands of the Grand Jury, which will include representatives of all co-organizers. The chairman of the jury is the famous children's composer Grigory Vasilyevich Gladkov.

In Australia, December means summer! But despite the heat and kangaroos outside the window, Australians, like most people in the world, celebrate the New Year from December 31 to January 1. But how do they celebrate it without a Christmas tree, toys, snow and deer? Not bad at all!
Santa Claus surfs right onto the beach in Sydney, the country's largest city. In the evening, Australians watch the fireworks and then quickly run home to bed. And how could it be otherwise, if even on New Year’s Day they have to wake up at six in the morning and go to work?!

If in Russia in December there are stands of Christmas trees on every street, then in Georgia - with chichilaki! These are wooden walnut sticks that have been planed on one side to form long snow-white shavings.
It is customary to put up such “Christmas trees” at home and decorate them with dried fruits. After the New Year holidays, they are burned so that the failures of the past year do not carry over into the new one. What to do in the village?
There are so many interesting things in the village: you can go to the fields, make friends with the neighbor’s dog Barbos, and swim in the river... But you’re probably already tired of all this after the whole summer? No problem! Here are some cool ideas for things to do during the last weeks of the holidays. 
Whistle.
Find a blade of grass with a wide, flat stem. Place it between your slightly bent thumbs as shown in the picture. Now blow as hard as you can! Another option for a whistle: find an acacia pod, break off the ends, carefully open it, throw out all the seeds, close it back - and blow. If it doesn't whistle, try doing the same with another pod.
Boat.
Collect reeds or other grass with a round, hollow stem. Cut 8–10 blades of grass, 20 centimeters each. Place them side by side and pierce the sides and middle with thin twigs. Pierce the leaf with a fourth branch and insert it into one of the “beams”. The mini-raft is ready!
If there is no gouache.
Surely your grandmother asks you to collect St. John's wort to make healthy tea in winter. Do you know that St. John's wort makes not only delicious tea, but also... paint?! Fill a third of the glass with St. John's wort buds and pour in 100 milliliters of vinegar. Cover the glass with a plate. A week later you will find a red liquid in the glass - this will be paint. You can use it to paint a picture or even a wooden toy.

In Japan, they began to build houses from foam plastic. Such structures unexpectedly turned out to be very reliable: they are not afraid of fire, retain heat well in winter and cool in summer, and can last for several generations. And you won’t believe it – they are built in just two hours!

A piece of gold!
During excavations in the Khabarovsk Territory, a bulldozer operator discovered a piece of gold. And what a big one: weighing 10.3 kilograms and 30 centimeters long. This find is the largest in the history of the region and, judging by its rich golden color, very valuable.
