Open a factory for the production of shampoos. Stages of the technological process for producing shampoos

Many people have the desire to open a business and work exclusively for themselves, but not all of them begin to implement it. There may be many reasons for such hesitancy, but the most important is the inability to choose a promising industry. In our opinion, you should be guided by the demand for the product or service that you want to produce or offer. For example, shampoo is a product of mass consumption. All people wash their hair and will continue to wash it in the future. So why not organize a business if there is already a ready-made and established technology for producing shampoos? Let's try to figure out what nuances this type of entrepreneurship may have.

Components

It is impossible to start producing shampoo without having a good recipe.

Among the main components of this product it is worth highlighting:

  • water (accounts for 70-75% of the total shampoo);
  • surfactants (surfactants) that are necessary to remove dirt and grease. They make up about 20-25% of the total ingredients. Most often, sodium or ammonium lacrylsulfates are used as surfactants in the production of shampoos;
  • detergents for foaming and thickening shampoo;
  • emollients to thicken the structure and make hair soft;
  • alcohols;
  • waxes;
  • additives;
  • flavorings.

Of course, this list of components is not exhaustive. We have provided it only so that you can get a basic idea regarding the quantity and type of raw materials for shampoo. In each specific case, the amount and type of ingredients used may vary. This is not surprising, because there are both general use shampoos and, for example, medicinal ones.

Production technology

Let's say you already have a recipe and have purchased the components on the basis of which this recipe will be implemented. What's next? First of all, it is necessary to carry out quality control of the starting ingredients and complete water purification.

The production process itself begins with feeding a mixture of alcohols and water into a special reactor, then adding a surfactant and starting mixing. All other components are added gradually. Fragrances and preservatives are introduced last. The finished product must be pumped out into a container intended for settling. It is from this that the analysis for quality control will be taken. If all the parameters and characteristics of the resulting product fully comply with technical standards, then you can begin packaging the shampoo and applying labels.

What equipment is needed?

Opening your own shampoo production requires the following equipment:

  • receiving and intermediate tanks;
  • reactor with stirrer;
  • rotary pump;
  • shampoo dosing machine;
  • automatic label gluing machine.

Particular attention must be paid to the choice of mixing device, since the quality of the final product depends on it.

Conventional mixing methods when adding individual components are not able to ensure a stable state of the resulting mixture, which results in its separation.

by the company GlobeCore have been developed that operate based on the use of the injection method and hydrodynamic impact. This combination allows us to obtain high-quality shampoos. The produced product is highly resistant and does not delaminate for a long time.

Modern hydrodynamic (flow) mixing plants have proven themselves in industrial operation as economical, accurate and stable means of producing shampoos with optimal cost. The achieved cost savings and increased production profitability compared to the traditional technology of mixing components in mixing tanks can accelerate the rate of return on investment by up to 60% per year and ensure the payback of the project in up to one year or less.

A hydrodynamic mixer uses a mixing process that allows all components to be simultaneously fed in a given recipe ratio into a common mixing manifold, through which the finished product is supplied to a storage tank. The advantages of this technology are precise control of the dosage of each component, a significant reduction in the duration of the mixing cycle and the elimination of the use of mixing containers to ensure homogenization of the finished product. During the mixing process in an in-line mixer, the flow rate of each component is constantly adjusted in order to ensure a finished product with stable quality indicators in accordance with a given recipe at the exit from the mixing manifold.

In conclusion, we note that it is also possible to speed up the return of accumulated funds by using the same equipment to produce liquid soap, toothpaste, cosmetic creams, etc.

Business in the automotive industry is becoming increasingly attractive to entrepreneurs. And this niche does not always mean high costs for opening a business. For example, the production of car shampoos compares favorably with other business ideas due to its simplicity. With proper organization of activities, it is quite possible to reach the break-even point in the shortest possible time.

Our business assessment:

Starting investments – from 800,000 rubles.

Market saturation is average.

The difficulty of starting a business is 6/10.

Car detergents differ in composition from “standard” household chemicals - they contain more aggressive substances that can remove even heavy dirt from the surface of the car. The products are actively used by both car owners and car washes.

What is attractive about business?

  • There are not many enterprises producing auto chemicals in Russia. Products that are in demand on the market, if you think through the marketing strategy, will quickly find their buyers.
  • Simple technology will allow you to start a business even for those who only studied chemistry at school. The production process is carried out using automated equipment, which will avoid spending on paying salaries to qualified specialists - you can hire employees with professional education.
  • There is a large selection of production lines on the market - choose inexpensive machines to minimize capital costs.
  • Compact equipment will make it possible to open a mini-enterprise in small areas - even in a garage.

Where to begin?

The production of car shampoo as a business is an attractive direction. But before you start implementing the idea, it doesn’t hurt to study the market:

  • Are there any similar companies in the region?
  • Is the demand for car cleaning products high?
  • Are there many car washes and potential wholesale buyers of finished products?

In parallel with market analysis, start looking for wholesale clients. This way you will open a workshop, having already concluded lucrative contracts with customers. Having finished collecting information, you can begin registering a business, searching for premises, purchasing raw materials and equipment.

Legal registration of business

The production of car wash shampoo is not subject to mandatory licensing. All an entrepreneur needs is to register an individual entrepreneur or LLC, choose a taxation scheme, and obtain permission to conduct activities from supervisory services.

Obtaining documents from fire and sanitary inspections may take a long time, since the process of producing finished products will use chemical concentrate and other fire-hazardous substances that are harmful to human health.

If you plan to produce car shampoos under your own brand, you will need to invest in brand development and registration.

Car shampoo manufacturing technology

A recipe will be required according to which the products will be produced in the future. You can hire a specialist to develop the mixture. If you have enough experience and knowledge, you can start preparing the recipe yourself.

To expand your customer base, plan to release several types of car shampoos - for automatic car washes (contactless) and private use, for cars and trucks.

Contactless car shampoo is produced on the basis of desalted water, chemical concentrates and additives. All ingredients are commercially available and relatively inexpensive. Choose only high-quality raw materials - this will directly affect the final result of washing the car. Car washes will refuse to cooperate with you if you supply them with shampoo that does not perform its functions.

The car shampoo production technology consists of several stages:

  • Dosing and mixing of components.
  • Heating the mixture.
  • Cooling the mixture.
  • Pouring liquids into containers.

The production is considered waste-free - the soapy water released during the process can be used in the next production cycle.

Workshop technical equipment

The main feature of this line of business is that equipment for the production of car shampoo for contactless washing can additionally produce windshield cleaning and cooling liquids. All that is required is to reconfigure and thoroughly flush the line.

The production line is the most expensive part of organizing a business. You can buy equipment with a productivity of up to 700 kg/hour for at least 700,000 rubles. This is quite enough for a small enterprise. You can reduce your investment by purchasing a supported line.

The production of contactless car shampoo is carried out using the following equipment:

  • dispensers,
  • drives,
  • vacuum reactor,
  • filling machine,
  • washing equipment.

The line is compact in size - it can be installed on 15 m2. But additional space will also be required - rooms for staff, warehouses for raw materials and finished products, an office.

Sales channels and profit calculation

To buy equipment for the production of car shampoo and equip the premises to start work, you will need at least 800,000 rubles (including supported equipment). It’s great if by the time the business opens you have already found buyers! Products can be offered to car dealerships, car washes, and gas stations.

The production of car shampoo for contactless washing with established sales channels will recoup all costs after 1-2 years. Car detergents cost from 70 rubles on the wholesale market. At the same time, their cost is 30-50% lower.

WHAT IS THE ARTICLE ABOUT?

What is shampoo

Shampoo is the most popular hair care product. Its main task is cleansing. But besides this, it can perform a number of additional ones:

  • Prevents static electricity from appearing;
  • Cares for the scalp;
  • Protects from the sun, cold, high humidity and other factors;
  • Makes hair stronger.

Shampoo comes not only in liquid form, as we are used to seeing it. There are also:

  • Gels;
  • Cream;
  • Aerosols;
  • In powder form;

The most widespread are gel and liquid forms due to their convenience.

Let's return to additional functions. Depending on the ingredients included in the composition, the following products are available on the market:

  • With a healing effect;
  • Ordinary cosmetic;
  • With careful care;
  • Children's;
  • For different types of hair and scalp;

Shampoo composition

To make the most common cosmetic shampoo, you need to mix 12 components at the factory:

How shampoo is made in production

The technical process consists of mixing all the ingredients. To prepare shampoos, each ingredient is weighed on special scales. The mass must exactly match the cooking sheet, that is, the recipe. Then all the substances are mixed together. Some of the components are immersed in a cauldron and cooked at a temperature of 60 degrees. The ingredients are mixed until smooth and then cooled to 35-40 degrees.

Quality control takes place in 2 stages. First, the laboratory technician takes a small amount of shampoo directly from the boiler and tests it for viscosity and foaming ability. It should be noted that the buyer judges the quality of the shampoo by the presence of a large amount of foam on his head, although this is far from a key indicator.

The second check - the presence of yeast and bacteria occurs after the shampoo is poured from the boiler into specially prepared barrels. They have a sealed bag inside. Microbiological analysis is carried out in the laboratory using special wipes.

First, make a 10% solution of the finished product, stir it and the laboratory assistant pipettes 1 ml. the resulting liquid, and then drips it onto napkins. Then he puts them in a heating cabinet for three days, and only after this period has passed can one understand how high-quality and safe the product is. If the napkins are clean and there are no fungal growths on them, then permission to bottling can be given.

After checks, the shampoo cooled in barrels is brought to the filling machine. And here it is - the final stage of the production process - packaging. in most factories it is made using an automatic bottling line. The machine dispenses the required amount into the container. Each manufacturer uses its own bottle options.

For example, when packaged in tubes, they pass through a special device - a heating element, which in a couple of seconds heats the package with hot air and it is filled with shampoo. All irregularities are cut off from the container and the cap is put on. The finished tube is thrown onto a conveyor to a cartoning machine, where it is packed into a box.

How to make shampoo at home with your own hands

The first option for making shampoo at home is from clay. Choose a clay that is best suited to your hair type, although any healing clay will be effective on its own. The preparation process involves dissolving the clay in warm water until it becomes liquid sour cream. The second option is mustard shampoo. It consists of diluting mustard in water. These substances are absorbent, so to bring some benefit to your hair, you can add additional components, but not oils, since you will not be able to mix them.

The best option is to use a decoction of herbs or essential oils instead of water. But keep in mind that oils must be added to dry powder and only then added with water.

The third recipe is to make your own dry shampoo. To do this, use regular soda. Apply a small amount (dry) to your head and then simply comb through. Hair will become cleaner and more voluminous. But this method is more suitable for people with blond hair, since the soda lightens the hair a little.

Another shampoo recipe can be made from black bread. You need to fill it with hot water and let it sit for about 15 minutes, after which you can wash your hair. You can add the yolk, but not in hot water, as it will cook immediately. Add it after your infusion has cooled.

There is also a mono-component shampoo that doesn’t even need to be prepared - it’s soap nuts. They have very good reviews and many people use them.
